Ellen Sue Rosner

With a degree in Art weaving and Textiles, Ellen not only has had woven art installed around the world she assisted Claire Zeisler for her one woman  show at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Moving from textiles to Photography she traveled the world taking photos. She would later use these photos for the basis of her paintings.

Having traveled to 47 countries she has accumulated a portfolio that few people have.

Working in many media she has currently focused on the combination of photography and color. She uses colored pencils and oils to create images that transcend photography and bring to life the glow of experience.  Using both her own photos but also antique photos she has discovered in her travels.

Each image has a story behind it and Ellen loves to give them life.

Currently living in Madison, Wisconsin, Ellen is now taking commissions.
